Not really sure how three months slipped by since my last post. When I last updated I was just about to start a volunteer gig with Equilibrio Azul. I spent a life changing month with that organization and will definitely be returning to work with them again. It will be a few more weeks before I write a detailed post on my time there though. The work this organization is doing deserves a dedicated blog – it is both beautiful and somber, and to talk about it interspersed with my other travels, I feel, does not do it justice. Stay tuned.
I am currently having a tremendous amount of technology issues so will do this very quickly in the hopes I can get this post out. As I mentioned above I was in Ecuador. From there I returned to Costa Rica for the month of December and spent Christmas, including xmas caroling, with my Costa Rica family. It was so much fun and definitely helped me cope with the pangs of homesickness I was feeling during the Christmas Season.
At the end of December I head down to Panama City to meet with a good friend. Jackie and I traveled together for several weeks – Panama, Costa Rica and Nicaragua! We had a great time and it was really nice to be on the move with someone I knew! After Jackie embarked on her next adventure I spent a week in Playa del Coco and finally got my dive license!!! As I always feared lol, I absolutely love it and cannot wait to go diving again.
From there I traveled down to Platanillo, Costa Rica to meet up with my brother, his family and our parents. This is the area where my brother and his wife have bought land to embark on a reforestation project. It is simply beautiful there and I cannot wait to see how the land transforms under their watch.
I am currently in Bocas Del Toro with my parents and we will be traveling together until the end of March!
I apologize for how short this post is but I wanted to get something out so people at least know that I am still kicking lol. Once I am in Mexico, I should be stationary enough to hopefully engage a computer repair tech and get some of these issues sorted out. In the interim, I have been posting some photos in my albums and will attempt to continue to do so as long as my computer still holds out for me.
Love and light to you all … and I am so sorry that this is lacking so many of the details that I will try to get caught up with!
